Alexandria, VA — January 2026— Logistics Systems Inc. (LSI) announced today that it has qualified to compete on the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle.

The MDA SHIELD contract is a long-term, enterprise-wide acquisition vehicle with an estimated $151 billion ceiling over a ten-year period, designed to support layered homeland defense capabilities across air, missile, space, cyber, and hybrid mission areas. As a SHIELD awardee, LSI is positioned to compete for task and delivery orders issued by MDA and other Department of Defense components under this flexible vehicle.

“Securing eligibility on the SHIELD IDIQ represents an important strategic milestone for LSI,” said Matt Collins, Chief Operating Officer of LSI. “This qualification enables us to bring our mission-focused solutions to critical national defense efforts and compete alongside a diverse set of industry partners for impactful work supporting layered homeland defense.”

The SHIELD contract structure supports rapid delivery of innovative capabilities — including systems engineering, advanced prototyping, R&D, digital engineering, cybersecurity, and sustainment activities — in a dynamic defense environment. With this qualification, LSI intends to leverage its deep expertise in integrated mission support and engineering services to pursue future task orders under SHIELD.
