Logistics Systems Incorporated Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification
June 7, 2012 – Logistics Systems Incorporated (LSI), an industry leader in Integrated Logistics, Information Technology Services and Science, Engineering and Technical Services, announced that it has earned its ISO 9001:2008 quality management certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI) Group.
ISO 9001:2008 is recognized by organizations worldwide as a quality management standard. LSI’s scope of registration includes integrated logistics, program and acquisition management and information technology systems support to Government and commercial markets. LSI underwent an extensive evaluation process that included developing a Quality Management System (QMS), setting measureable objectives, documentation review, incorporating corrective and preventive actions and methods of monitoring customer satisfaction. Our QMS considers three main components: quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement.
LSI President and CEO Lawrence Wilkerson said, “This certification represents an important milestone in LSI’s corporate development. While LSI has long been recognized as a provider of high quality services to its Government clients, this certification provides confirmation that our systems and processes are properly structured to promote LSI’s advance to the top tier of Government service contractors.”
Founded in 2002, LSI is a rapidly-growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) and Small Business Administration 8(a) certified concern. LSI provides integrated logistics management and life cycle support, information technology (IT) service support, and engineering and technical services as core competencies to both Government and commercial concerns.
